The Abidjan stadium is one of the main sports facilities in the city of Abidjan, the economic capital of Ivory Coast. Located in the heart of the metropolis, it is an iconic venue dedicated to sport, particularly soccer, the country’s most popular sport. The stadium hosts local and national competitions, as well as major sporting and cultural events, contributing to the social and urban vitality of the city.
Designed to meet the needs of clubs, athletes, and the general public, the Abidjan Stadium offers facilities suitable for sports and spectators. It also plays an important role in promoting sport as a factor in social cohesion, youth, and development.
Soccer plays a central role in Ivory Coast, both at the grassroots and professional levels. The Abidjan Stadium contributes to the development and structuring of Ivorian sport by providing a venue for training sessions, official matches, and competitions. It also helps to identify and train young talent.
