the link at safehaven, authentic golf in the heart of the Caribbean
The course was created in 1993 by Gregori International in collaboration with architect Roy Case.
The installation of the turf required the use of special techniques to reduce the salinity of the soil, while rehabilitating the Mangrove, an essential link in the life of the coral reef, the main natural resource of the Cayman Islands. Despite the technical difficulties, the golf course was built on time and on budget.
Following damage caused by Hurricane Ivan in 2004, the course had to be completely renovated in 2005-2006. Gregori International carried out the renovation.
This links-style course stretches over naturally flat terrain, with strategically placed bunkers, water hazards and winding fairways bordered by mangroves. Suitable for all levels of play, The Links combines a subtle technical challenge with an idyllic Caribbean backdrop.
Located just minutes from the famous Seven Mile Beach and luxury resorts, The Links at Safehaven is a must for golf enthusiasts seeking sun, tranquility and an exceptional natural setting.
