context
Casa Green Town golf course, a top-class course
Golf de Casa Green Town is located in Casablanca, at the heart of a vast, modern and sustainable urban development project. The golf course is part of a mixed residential neighborhood designed as a model green city, where nature, leisure and urban functions coexist harmoniously.
Casablanca’s climate is Mediterranean with oceanic tendencies, with mild, wet winters and hot, dry summers. While annual rainfall is concentrated over a few months, drought periods can be prolonged, requiring very rigorous management of water resources. In addition, the region’s rapid urbanization increases the risks associated with urban runoff, spot flooding and pressure on water tables.
In this context, the hydraulic works on the Casa Green Town golf course were designed to meet a twofold challenge:
ensure the functional performance of the course,
meet the environmental and hydrological requirements of a developing urban area.
The hydraulic infrastructures of the Casa Green Town golf course have been designed to optimize water use, anticipate extreme phenomena (drought or torrential rain), and fit in with the sustainable development logic of the district.
