Project
context
Oyala golf course, a championship course in the heart of the forest
In the heart of the equatorial forest, the Golf d’Oyala is part of the wider project to build the new town of Oyala, whose program also includes a university park, a 400-room hotel and presidential villas.
Bordered by the Mbélé River, the site has to cope with torrential rainfall, which causes flooding and extensive damage. In order to manage this problem as effectively as possible, and with a view to sustainable resource management, Gregori International has set up a system for recovering drainage water for watering the golf course. Reforestation work involving the replanting of native species is also being carried out in and around the golf course.
