context

Named after Georgios Karaiskakis, a hero of the Greek War of Independence who fell at Piraeus in 1827, this stadium is one of the sanctuaries of Greek soccer.
Seating around 33,300, it is the largest stadium in Greece dedicated exclusively to soccer.
Modern facilities: 40 VIP suites (seating up to 472), a shopping center and Olympiacos museum under the stands, a high-performance media center, a players’ lounge, a bar, a restaurant and even a Red Store (official club store).
The project was carried out within a very tight schedule in view of the Olympic Games. Thanks to FIBERsoil technology, the pitch was able to withstand 5 official matches and 9 training sessions in just 11 days during the 2004 Olympic Games, without affecting the quality of play. This project demonstrated Gregori International’s ability to deliver pitches that meet the extreme demands of international competitions in record time.
