Gregori International was called in urgently to refurbish the pitch at the main stadium, ahead of the CAN 2023. Operations included drainage reinforcement, planimetric rectification, substrate improvement, and a 12-month maintenance contract for the entire complex, including annex pitches.

The 60,000-capacity Stade Alassane Ouattara d’Ebimpé, inaugurated in 2020, was at the heart of the CAN 2023, hosting both the opening match and the final. The stadium is a central element of the new Diamniadio urban hub, and a symbol of the modernization of Côte d’Ivoire’s infrastructure.
Gregori International’s intervention, carried out in a particularly short space of time, restored the main pitch to a level of quality in line with the requirements of the Confederation of African Football (CAF). Thanks to its recognized expertise in sports surface maintenance, the work ensured optimum playing conditions throughout the tournament.
Côte d’Ivoire’s decision to entrust maintenance of the complex to an international operator underlines the importance attached to the durability and technical performance of the facilities. This strategy has borne fruit: the quality of the pitches was widely praised by players and officials throughout the CAN, which saw the Elephants win the title on home soil.
