With a capacity of around 20,000, this multi-purpose stadium hosts soccer matches, notably those of local clubs and occasionally the national team. It plays a key role in the development of sport in the region and remains an emblematic venue for Senegalese sporting culture.
For the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, the Senegalese Football Federation has undertaken a strategic renovation of the Lat Dior Stadium in Thiès, to bring it into line with FIFA’s requirements for hosting international matches.
Given the urgency of the deadlines and the importance of the challenge, Gregori International was commissioned to carry out the work in FAST TRACK mode, with a clear objective: to renovate the main pitch in 30 days, while guaranteeing optimum playing quality and full compliance with international standards.
Thanks to the rapid mobilization of our teams, rigorous site management and a high level of technical expertise, the site was delivered on time, ready to welcome Africa’s greatest nations in a professional setting.
This project illustrates Gregori International’s commitment to working alongside African federations to support the development of top-level soccer on the continent.
