Windsor Park is a perfect example of the combination of modern architecture and cultural roots in Dominica. Built as part of an international cooperation project, it is now a major sports facility (cricket and soccer), as well as a community and cultural gathering place. Its tropical charm, professional facilities and role in local life make it a true national symbol.

windsor park, landmark of caribbean cricket

Windsor Park, located in Roseau, is Dominica’s national multi-purpose stadium, mainly dedicated to cricket and soccer. Inaugurated on October 24, 2007, it was built on the site of a former local dump known as Cow Town, and represents one of the Four Pillar Projects funded and donated by China to Dominica following the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The atmosphere is reputedly warm and festive, typical of Caribbean cricket, combining sporting passion with a carnival atmosphere.
