Inaugurated at the beginning of the 20th century, Hippodrome de Pont-Long quickly established itself as a major horse racing center in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. Its name comes from the neighborhood in which it is located, reinforcing its local roots and proximity to the community. Over the decades, it has undergone several phases of renovation and extension, to meet the growing demands of spectators, jockeys and trainers.
