The Markopoulo Olympic Equestrian Centre is a vast equestrian complex located in Markopoulo, some 30 km southeast of Athens, Greece. Built especially for the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, it hosted show jumping, dressage and eventing competitions.

context
the markopoulo equestrian site, an emblematic greek site
The center covers an area of around 940,000 m² and includes several competition arenas (outdoor and indoor), a cross-country area, modern stables for over 280 horses, a veterinary clinic, training facilities, offices, parking lots and a helipad. The grandstands offer a total capacity of up to 15,000 spectators, depending on the event.
After the Games, the site was used for national and international competitions, as well as for horse races organized by Hellas Horse Races S.A.

an equestrian surface designed for the 2004 olympic games
- Design and construction of over 350,000 m² of specific flooring for racecourses and racetracks, main jumping, dressage and training arenas
- Work carried out in accordance with FEI - Fédération Equestre Internationale - standards, using the FIBERSOIL process to improve the strength and impact of the jump landing during the Athens Olympic Games competition.
