Equestrian surfaces Qatar Racing & Equestrian Club
Description
With years of experience of handling thoroughbred horses, the club was the obvious choice as a venue for equestrian events at the 15th Asian Games.
To cover the evenement , news installations and constructions were necessary.
The project was realized by Gregori International :
In order to cover the event new facilities and construction were needed. This project includes the creation of:
– Construction of two race courses
– A 1500 seats grand stand
– Stables and a parade ring

– Design drawings, earthworks, installation of the drainage, irrigation and floodlighting system
– Nursery: 12,000 sq. m. grass nursery
– Dirt racetrack : American style training track (24 000 m²)

– Outside Broadcasting Van
– Mobile video display (screen size: 57 m²)
– Civil engineering work including construction of an asphalt service road, reservoir, pump room, electrical substations, HV room and parking areas
– Design and build of the Grand stand, technical rooms, dope testing facilitiesin a record time of 12 months (end of works planned for May 2003)
– Design, interior decoration, furnishings
– Kitchen, offices, restaurants
– Jockey rooms, weighing rooms, stewards rooms
– Commentator booths
– Lifts (VIP, man lifts, service lift)
– Fire fighting systems
– M&E works including a variable air volume building management system
